This cable features a standard USB Type-A Male connector on one end and a Type-A Female connector on the other and is particularly useful for extending the reach of a USB cable with a proprietary connector or fixed device (such as an AC adapter) on one end. The cable uses 28 AWG conductors for the data lines and 24 AWG conductors for the power lines. The connectors are gold plated to ensure smooth, corrosion free connections.
